The Territory
The Clans have lived for a long time in their sacred home, the Place of Many Stars, a land where stars seem to shine their brightest and where StarClan can watch all of the Clans and protect them. To the northwest is an impossibly tall mountain, the Skypierce Mountain, that no cat has ever fully scaled and rocky cliffs, usually powdered with some degree of snow in all seasons except greenleaf. To the east of Skypierce Mountain is the Scrublands and beyond that to the northeast of that, an endless desert. Within that desert lays an oasis with an island called the Moonisle, where StarClan meets with medicine cats and leaders yet to receive their nine lives. To the south of the Scrublands lays a wide moor, rolling and dipping with hills. Trees are sparse on the moor, but their frequency of appearance increases as one heads west to the forest. The forest has portions of pine trees with needle-covered floors, oak trees with dense undergrowth, and other trees and many grassy clearings. A river runs from the bottom of the Scrublands, cutting through the moor, and cleaving the forest in half. In the very center of the Place of Many Stars is a peculiar spot where rocky terrain meets scrub, forest, and moor called the Four Points. This is where the Clans meet every full moon. Beyond the forest is the Twolegplace, where rogues and kittypets live.
The Four Clans
IceClan
IceClan is as mysterious as they are cold and, reportedly, heartless. They hole themselves up in the cliffs on the lower half of Skypierce Mountain. If one from another Clan meets an IceClan cat, they usually don't get a response. IceClan believes in self-reliance and near-isolation from the other Clans and, above all else, purity within their ranks. They believe that their own strength comes from discipline and Clan purity. Rarely will they accept cats from other Clans. If they do, it's usually only if the cat is half-IceClan, although the mother or father of the kit that is IceClan is commonly exiled for producing such a kit. Their boarders are always closed, with exception at the word of the leader.
FlameClan
FlameClan is usually hot-headed and short-tempered, no thanks to their location on the scorching Scrublands, located near the desert. This Clan believes that it doesn't matter who a cat is, if they can contribute to the Clan, they are welcome. Their only source of water comes from the river that marks their boarder with GaleClan, which they defend and push fiercely since prey and water are scarcer the more north one goes from the river. The banks are especially fought over, as they are an ideal place for FlameClan to cool off and for GaleClan to catch fish. They are usually the ones who spoil for border skirmishes the most. Their boarders are usually closed, but often change due to battle with GaleClan.
OakClan
OakClan is usually amiable and serene, having what is virtually a forested paradise all to themselves. In leaf-bare, they are protected from intense wind and snow by the thick canopy. In greenleaf, the leaves of the trees also provide shade to keep the heat away, although sometimes when it is dry, the forest will catch fire. When that happens, the Clan will stay on the opposite side of the river to the fire. They, like other Clans, dislike kittypets and rogues, but if one is particularly skilled at hunting or fighting, they will consider their plight. OakClan as a whole is skilled at either tree-climbing or swimming, although some cats are skilled in both fields. Their boarders are open only to medicine cats for herbs.
GaleClan
GaleClan is swift, loyal, and fierce, being shaped and carved by the wind and rugged moor. They believe in freedom for all cats and that the moor is the only way to find it. They relish feeling the wind in their fur and believe that the most oppressed Clan is OakClan, who are incredibly sheltered from the breeze carrying moor-scents. They often fight OakClan over ideology, rather than actual territory or hunting rights. The moors are wide, open, and bumpy with large and small hills. The camp itself is located in a deep pit in a large hill, protected from sight by thick grasses. There are a few trees far away from the OakClan-GaleClan border, with one particularly ancient one being the favored place for rabbits and other vermin to burrow. Their boarders are open to cats seeking freedom.
The Neutral Places
The Summit of Skypierce Mountain
This place is said to belong only to StarClan and is believed to be where cats travel to after they die to join the stars. No cat usually goes to the summit because of the intense cold and lack of incentive like prey.
The Oasis/The Moonisle
The Oasis is where the Moonisle is located. The Oasis is on the edge of FlameClan territory, where the desert begins. The Moonisle itself is lush with life and typically glows silver when the moon shines upon it. There is a clear crystal in the heart of the island where medicine cats touch their noses to speak with StarClan.
The Riverbank
The entire riverbank is officially declared neutral for the sake of travel to the Four Points, but GaleClan and FlameClan ignore it in their ongoing war. Neutrality, however, only lasts until one catches prey from or on the river in another Clan's territory.
Four Points
The Four Points is where all of the territories meet. It is a clearing full of variously-sized boulders, with the largest cluster being where the leaders sit during Gatherings on the full moon-- the Great Stones.
